About this blog…

Why make this blog at all?

It might be difficult to even find a reason to write a blog anymore. It feels like everything has already been said somewhere, probably already many times. Writing helps me clarify things, build mental models on how things actually work, and gauge my own understanding across different areas of interest.

I’ve always ended up explaining things. Sometimes to coworkers, sometimes to online strangers, and sometimes to my future self after a few months have passed. Documenting and organizing those explanations here feels like a useful habit to keep.

Part of the motivation is more practical. A simpler internet, with plain HTML, without the need for “minified css”. At times, certain websites either load very slow on a mobile or laptop, or not at all. This daily frustration got into a stage of exasperation when certain hosted platforms, such as GitHub, started refusing access even with the right password, just because of a new geographic location.

At that point, I realized that if I need to make my own online git repo, I might as well have a bit of fun with website building.

Aims & Goals of this Blog

This blog focuses on Linux, open-source software, databases, scripting, and the odd programming detour. It’s strictly technical, no personal life, no politics, etc.

I just hope I will be able to keep up with adding content frequently.
